Mixed Feeling
Officially graduated with a Bachelor.
And here's the lesson learned on 30th May 2008:
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER count your chicks before they are hatched.
I will always remember what I went through today.
ALWAYS.
And life's never fair.
NEVER.

Indiana day
Met the pals for lunch and Indiana Jones today.
Indy's like National Treasure II. Very familiar story line?
Anyway, as Yogi just returned from Taiwan, he brought along TWO pineapple tart,
ONE for Garypal and ONE for me.
I think Garypal was expecting ONE BOX of tarts instead. =P
Yogi tried to hide from the camera cos' he knows I'm so going to blog about it. HA!
Nevertheless, the tart tasted yummy! So thanks pal.
I'll bring you ONE Ah po tie dan from Dan Shui if I manage to get my hands on it!
=)
Oh and I think both of them HEART the street basketball game at the arcade.
They played it in every country.
Genting, Phuket and Singapore.
Everywhere!

The DOUBLE!
YAY. After 9 years, the cup is finally back at Old Trafford.
Very intense and exciting match that kept me awake until now.
More on the match next time, if I remember.
WOOHOO. Goodness me. Awake for 20+ hours already.
And guess what?
I had Macs for breakfast while watching my favourite TVB drama at 6AM.
Life's good. Yes, it is.
Good morning and good night!

Memory lane
Some friends asked if I took photos on my last "official" day in school.
Probably on my mind then was to celebrate the end of EVERYTHING involving CHE.
Take photos? Nah.
But dont get me wrong. I like the school. I like NUS.
Truth to be told, every time when 151 makes it way over the flyover and turns into campus,
I'm more than grateful to be part of it.
And so, I went back to school today. But allow me to digress here.
I went to try the sizing for the gown and I'm truly impressed by this lady (Azzlina) who's stationed at the gown counter.
The place was pretty crowded but she's very patient with each and every of us,
asking for our height and providing us with the suitable gown.
For my case, it was a tad tricky. I should be wearing M for my height.
But it's quite loose on the shoulders. S fits perfectly but it's a bit short. As I went down
alone, there was no one to give me any suggestions.
Thank god for her genuine and objective opinions, it made my decision a lot easier.
=)
Anyway, I made my way back to Engine thereafter.
A familiar yet distant place, where I spent a good 4 years in.
Pictorial evidences of some places/things that I passed-by ever so often,
but failed to take notice of how it looks like from another perspective.

Spent the rest of the afternoon in town, sat in a cafe, read a book,
had tea and salmon sandwich for lunch, as the world whizzed by me.

Very therapeutic.
Cherishing moments like these, that belong to me, myself and I.
=)

Phuket 08
After bugging Nini for like 2 days, I managed to get half of the pics from her before MSN decided to die on us.
But it's all good after combining with those I took.
There are 15 sets altogether so I guess it will take sometime to load.
Took me a day to get it done and how I miss serious photoshopping.
And I think it's about time to take up photography too.
But before that, I need to save AGAIN to get a decent cammie.
Oh well, why cant moolahs just drop from the sky huh?
Alrighto time for VISUALS.
It's going to be a long long entry.
*************************************
Reached Phuket around noon and took the Phi Phi cruiser to Phi Phi Island.
Banyan Villa was better than expected. Solid bed and very clean toilet.
There's even a pool beside our rooms.
BUT there's like zillions of mosquitoes breeding in Phi Phi.

After settling our luggage, we explored around and went to Phi Phi Viewpoint.
And me, being the piece of meat, was panting like I've just finished climbing the Himalayas.
-_-"

The next day saw us joining the day tour around Phi Phi.
We snorkeled, kayaked, SWAM and walked bare footed to reach
Maya Bay, where our tofu-man got cut along the way. Haha.

But it's all worth the cuts.
Maya Bay looks very photoshopped but it's not.
Lovely little park.

.
.
.
And here's my FAVOURITE set.
From the beaches. Went to one of the beaches before setting off for the tour.
We sat on the PINK and yellow banana boat, where we got threw off 3762 times into the
salty seawater. Bleah.

No pictures of food cos' we were too hungry to take. Haha.
Green curry! Tom Yum! Phai Thai! And a whole lot of seafood.
YUM!
************************
We came back to Phuket on the third day and was surprised that the resort that we booked
was quite atas. Haha. So we had an atas dinner too, at their Japanese restaurant.
Sashimi. Sha bu Sha bu. Udon x 4. Assorted sushi x 1.
Had drinks at their lounge before calling it a day.
This, my friend, is what we called a HOLIDAY. Haha.

.
.
.
Next morning, we set off for another tour with Anda Adventure and
it's THE highlight of the whole trip IMO.
5 activities in a day. Coolness.
For a start, there's a visit to the monkey cave with 1000000 monkeys in there.

Then there's elephant trekking where Nini vows she will never ride on an elephant again.
Ho!
After which, we trekked through the jungle to absail along the waterfall.
But due to the weather conditions, only garypal completed it.
And our tofu-man yogi could not be more glad. HELP MAN. HA.
Check out the waterfall though. It's pretty scary.
We water rafted ...
And flew like a fox!

Walked the wire looks easy BUT it's not.
It just doesn't seem to end when you are up there on the wire.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience and
I'm glad that the piece of meat in me did not fall off the wire. Ha.
.
.
.
The last day saw us wandered around Phuket aimlessly. HA.
Caught Ironman in one of their cinemas the night before at Jungceylon.
Walked around their Central (a shopping centre @ Phuket town) and realised it's our Takashimaya in disguised.
So off we went to Go-kart instead.
We had A LOT of time to spare before having our final dinner in Phuket (SEAFOOD YUMMY!) so we played some soccer on their beach and caught the sunset, which was freaking amazing.
I hope Taiwan's one will be just as good! Heh.

And that pretty much sums up our Phuket getaway.
=)
Not to forget we caught the Man United vs Wigan match over there, where ManU
was crowned the champion AGAIN. Woot. But with Chelsea/Liverpool fan around,
poor me did not get to watch the trophy presentation. Geez.
OK that's alll, mates.
Till Taiwan! Wooot.

Looking back
3 weeks ago, I turned 23.
Kudos to those who remembered and thanks for the well-wishes.
=)
For those who don't already know, I had a hell week prior to the birthday.
Presentation-test-test-report.
It was a quiet birthday so the parents brought me out for dinner. HO!
AND over dinner, my mum told me I'm not EXACTLY an accident despite the big age gap between me and the sibs.
So I guess everything happens for a reason, and I'm counting my blessings for having
parents who care, and siblings who dote on moi. =))
No birthday wish list this year cos' there's nothing that I really NEED
(though there's like 29324 things that I WANT.)
So I have had a few birthday treats and a few more to come in the next few days.
WHEE! Good food is love! So easy to buy me over! HA.
Ok VISUAL!

Post D2 dinner with my LEADERS!
Cheese fondue.Chocolate fondue. 2084204 times of Suntec-Marina-Suntec for a
movie slot that did not materialize. But good company is all that matters eh!
............................................

My dear sister asked me what I want for birthday.
She offered to FUND TRANSFER (?!) me an Ang Pow, which I POLITELY declined.
So Sushi Teh it was for the one who loveeeeeees Jap food.
YUM.
Then my dear brother asked me what I want for birthday.
He offered to buy me a MP3 player, PSP or a Digital Cam, which I POLITELY declined, AGAIN.
You know, Chem engine makes you an abnormal freak sometimes.
-_-"
........................................
Knowing that I LOVEEEE Jap food, Fang brought me to UE square for Minori which was
a fantastic ala carte buffet. And I was also surprised with a back massage at Genki wellness.
Thanks love! Hang in there pal and I'll see you soon! =)
........................................
Then the rest of April was a blur.
So NOW it's May.
There's 1001 things that I want to do. SOOO MANY. But they have to wait.
Cos' Phuket AWAITS in 3 days time!
And I need to pack. HO!
