Bro's Birthday
Had dinner at Crystal Jade Korean BBQ in view of Bro's BIG 31st birthday.
I brought my Naska along, of cos'.
To make full use of the 35mm, which Mojo has kindly lent it to me while he's away.
Made our way to the newly opened 313 @ Somerset to get his present thereafter.
I like the place cos' it's way much better than Orchard Central.
And easily navigated, as compared to ION @ Orchard.
Ahh now I cant decide between a 35mm/1.8 or 50mm/1.4.
Dear Santa, can I have them both?
:P

Birthday weekend!
I love celebrating birthday for my pals, because that means I've a valid excuse to indulge in
good food.
:)
Brought my dearest mate (who's there when I was at the bottom of the hole) to this vintage place which
we both loved, down to the T.
Check out the in-house deco coupled with the great ambiance.
And the food was great.
We both had lobster and ooo I'm missing it already!
Made our way down to KPO, and was really lucky to get seats on a Saturday night.
There was a gallery of sport cars, parked side by side outside the pub.
And to think that the cheapest was actually a BMW Z4?
Nevertheless, a nice chill out place to be at.
:)
And I'm looking forward to this weekend cos' it's going to be a long long break next week.
Plus, there are new additions to the Family.
Like finally!
:))

One year on
Ahh..Thanks for coming back despite me not blabbering as much as I like to on this space.
And for you (and you and you....)
here's another back dated post.
It's better to be late than never right?
;)
Since I've 1001 backlog in the office, I guess I need to find my balance point here.
So here goes!
If I were to get a DSLR (which I'm so going to do so to BALANCE my hormones), I'll go into food photography. Because food makes people happy. Together with the right company.
But before that, I need to make up my mind on WHICH one I should settle for.
Anyway, brought my favourite mentor to Cherry Garden @ Mandarin Oriental for a yummy Dim Sum buffet.
Definitely worth the moolahs IMO.
Allow me to digress here.
A good place to impress your in-laws with the food and ambience.
Quality ingredients with a vast variety to choose from.
Think abalone with Siew Mai.
And the dessert is to dieeeeeeeee for.
Can you see the freaking smoke oozing out from the Mango Pamelo?
Guess it's about time I bring my parents here for a goody meal after
being such a worry to them for soo long (though I still am).
So back to the birthday celeb,
to top it up, I've made her a book of memories.
:)
I REALLY like it a lot. (to the extent of keeping it myself)
The past year has been full of wonderful memories, where I was definitely grinning from ear to ear.
Counting my blessings, as I plough through the photos.
Though things are going to change, for better or for worse, it's anyone's guess.
"The road in front might be endless, tough or unsure.
But it's better to walk together rather than alone "
And I'll always remember that.
(Though I might be a drunkard now. Bah!)
♥♥♥
That's DEFINITELY one of my longest post in ages.
Time to hit the sack.
Wahlau I'm so going to hate myself tmr.
ZZZZ.

Belated Birthday
It's been a while since I met up Yogi and pals.
And I'm super guilty for being the factor that our meet-up gets postponed or canceled.
Anyway, Yogi and Ralf were very sweet to get us a cake for our belated birthday.

It was YUM but Sinful! We each ate a quarter of it. Gah.
I can so feel my tummy growing.

I really miss the guys and the times in Uni (minus the exams and projects, of cos).
And the mindless fooling around.
They love Domokun too!
(Ok, I made them to take pictures with him. Bleah)

Yogi never change his spots.
As funny as EVER.
.
.
.
5 years on.
Sharongnini, you are missed!

Forever young
Happy Birthday to the Super Sister who turns... 25*!
You mean you cant tell she is just 1 year older than me?!
Anyway I think I'm the only normal one in the family.
Cos' only I'm aging forward.
Mum's hair only gets funkier..
Sis's face only gets rosier..
Me just look more shagged..
-_-"

Forever young, I want to be forever youngDo you really want to live forever, forever and ever
Its so hard to get old without a causeI don't want to perish like a fading horseYouth is like diamonds in the sunAnd diamonds are forever
So many adventures couldnt happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue
We let them come true-Alphaville-
Class 95 overdosed.
*PS: The birthday girl said her age is just a number. Urpss.

Happy Birthday :)
Mum turns 60 today.
:)

The usual cake cutting after dinner.
THE MANGO CAKE from Rive Gauche Patisserie is yum!
And EVERYONE loves Domokun!
Here's the Ters' Domokun clan.
Hehe.

Though we have our fair share of bickering,
I'm always counting my blessings for having sibs and parents who care.
:)
Loveeeee!

Birthday Weekend II
Visuals for another birthday treat.
Courtesy of the birthday boy who went out of radar for a good 4 months!
On the way to dinner, we found this tea place where I'm soooo in love with!
Nice deco, great ambiance.
Perfect for a quiet afternoon stay.

Aesthetics-inclined presentation. I like!

.
.
.
Dinner was OVERLOADED with Kimchi and what not at this authentic Korean place somewhere along Chinatown.
The seafood steamboat was great but the portion was terrifying.
It seemed like my digestive system came to a halt after the meal.
Indigestion is a scary little thing. Bleah.

Had a go at their rice wine - Makgeolli, which was something refreshing.
It tasted like beer, but the after-taste was sweet.

Post dinner:
Indochine. Manchester Derby. Foster. Nectarie. Tiramisu. Strawberry shortcake.
One year older. One year wiser.
Happy 25th pal!

Birthday Weekend I
I've been stuffing myself silly for the past weekend, which isnt good.
Cos' in 2 days, I think I gained 2 kgs, which isnt good AT ALL.
And SC is like 5 days away?
But that aside, I REALLY had a good weekend!
Good food. Great company.
It's Bestie birthday and I brought her to PS Cafe at Palais to have brunch.
=)

Love the ambiance.
And the food.
Check out the roasted chicken club.
YUMMY to the max.
I'm so going back to try its banana hotcakes.

The drinks were average though...

Oh oh..say hello to my new baby!
I'm loving every minute of it!!
Geeeeky! Heh.
.
.
.
Then it's time for some SURPRISE.

Ok not really. Cos' she had a hard time guessing what I PLANNED for her.
And we starting bickering! HAHA.
.
.
.
.
I know it's not the most innovative present but I'm so glad she enjoyed it!
=)
And so did I!

Hello Jay Sng?
.
.
Moved our asses to Giraffe and planted our ground for a good 5-6 hours?
Times passes sooo quickly when you are having fun.

Ok anyone who loves salmon HAVE to try this.
Looking at the pic makes me hungry already!!

And a couple of drinks to go around before we called it a night.

Woman, hope you had a great 23rd!
Small talks are great. They always are with you.
LOVE!
=)

Of buffet and birthday
Made a trip down to Goodwood Park the other day to have a taste of what their high tea buffet is like @ L' Espresso. And it's certainly not about quantity but quality.

That's an attempt to be a tai-tai for a day. Ha.

With the tai-tai-to-be on her big day!

And we made it to the news on papers! Heh.

=)
Then there's buffet part II at Holland V.

Realised that I've eating like no tomorrow for the past few weeks. Geez.
In view of the run that's coming up in 2 weeks time, I think I better watch what I eat.
If not, I'll probably be rolling instead of running.
***********************************
This is quite random but a stroll down Henderson's wave at night was certainly refreshing.

****************************************
Yogi pal's 25th!
Hope you had a good one this year.
=)

Weekends!
So another weekend ended in a flash!
Went for Sh's convo on Thursday night after work and pardon the very tired-looking me.
I've no idea why I woke up at 530am on the day itself. Zzzz.

While waiting for Sh to settle some stuff, we got abit high and self-entertained for a while.

.
.
.
Saturday morning saw the Ters gather at Raffles Studio to have the family portrait taken.
Have yet to scan the photos so visual will have to wait.
But it was better than expected. Hopefully the final portrait will be just as good.
=)
.
.
After having a super filling brunch at Boon Tong Kee with the family, I went to town to meet Slim, my favourite mentor at work, to attend XY's nephew's , Lele, 1st birthday!
Lele is SOOOO cute and handsome la! But he's a baby with attitude!
Cos' he doesnt want me to carry.
=(

My favourite girls at work!
=)

Favourite set of the day!
Love is all around eh. Heh.
.
.
.
And here's our favourite chauffeur. But he's moving on to greener pastures.
So he's our Ahmad no more in a month's time! Boohoo.
Anyway back to Lele, I think he's the cutest baby that I've seen in a while!
And a very lucky kiddo too. His 1st birthday party probably cost more than all my 23 birthday combined! Haha.

Hello cutie pie!!

.
.
After the party, we went down to Vivo to shop around.
COS' FIRST PAY IS HERE. Woot woot.

Anyway the girls got me this Domo Ang Kong Kia aka Aska Super Junior which I am sooo deeply in love with! Gotta bring it to office to keep me company at work!
=)

Looking back
3 weeks ago, I turned 23.
Kudos to those who remembered and thanks for the well-wishes.
=)
For those who don't already know, I had a hell week prior to the birthday.
Presentation-test-test-report.
It was a quiet birthday so the parents brought me out for dinner. HO!
AND over dinner, my mum told me I'm not EXACTLY an accident despite the big age gap between me and the sibs.
So I guess everything happens for a reason, and I'm counting my blessings for having
parents who care, and siblings who dote on moi. =))
No birthday wish list this year cos' there's nothing that I really NEED
(though there's like 29324 things that I WANT.)
So I have had a few birthday treats and a few more to come in the next few days.
WHEE! Good food is love! So easy to buy me over! HA.
Ok VISUAL!

Post D2 dinner with my LEADERS!
Cheese fondue.Chocolate fondue. 2084204 times of Suntec-Marina-Suntec for a
movie slot that did not materialize. But good company is all that matters eh!
............................................

My dear sister asked me what I want for birthday.
She offered to FUND TRANSFER (?!) me an Ang Pow, which I POLITELY declined.
So Sushi Teh it was for the one who loveeeeeees Jap food.
YUM.
Then my dear brother asked me what I want for birthday.
He offered to buy me a MP3 player, PSP or a Digital Cam, which I POLITELY declined, AGAIN.
You know, Chem engine makes you an abnormal freak sometimes.
-_-"
........................................
Knowing that I LOVEEEE Jap food, Fang brought me to UE square for Minori which was
a fantastic ala carte buffet. And I was also surprised with a back massage at Genki wellness.
Thanks love! Hang in there pal and I'll see you soon! =)
........................................
Then the rest of April was a blur.
So NOW it's May.
There's 1001 things that I want to do. SOOO MANY. But they have to wait.
Cos' Phuket AWAITS in 3 days time!
And I need to pack. HO!

Woot!
So the mid-term break is finally here. YAY.
And I'm slacking as if the to-do-list has nothing scribbled on it.
Burpy.
Anyway, in view of mum's birthday, the Ters had a stomach-bursting-9-course dinner
at this Teochew restaurant, whose name I cant recalled, courtesy of Brother Ter.
After which, we went to hang around at his pad as I waited patiently to pounce on
the Haagen-Daz ice cream cake, courtesy of Cousin Ade =)
Happy Birthday, Mum!

Me thinks the folkies look very HIP.
But so do we!
Hahaha.

HELP man!
I think I'm starting to look around the same age as the sister.
Is either that I'm aging at an exponential rate, or she has stopped aging altogether.
Tsk tsk tsk.
On a side note, I think I cant live without Photoshop.
If only I'm using Photoshop instead of HYSYS for the project of the sem.
BOO.
About time to start using the brain.
Double BOO.
