Aska-Fetish

Aska-Fetish
That's the site which I have decided to safe-keep my makings.

U know, this blog is still the place where I connect to my friends and tell them my rubbish-happenings. *TING*

Gotta watch that BORING England Match. Ralf, looks like I might be the one whose10 bucks is going into the pool FIRST. AHhh..........

Ps: Ha.. I get to keep the 10 bucks for now. Phew.

Lucky Sai

OMG... I think I'm Lucky Sai No.2 (My brother is Lucky Sai No.1)
After losing my first bet ($5) of this World Cup on that kukufied German match (which I fell asleep watching), I decided to try my luck again tonight for the match between Japan & Brazil. It was kinda obvious that Brazil's going to win eh? But the odds for them to win by 1 is just 1:1.17 and by 2 is ard 1:1.60.

So I placed my bet on the half-time/full-time instead.
Half-time-draw/full-time-brazil --> 1:4.40

Hoping for a nil-nil draw in the first half, I decided that I should only watch the second half of the match. BUT TMD... Brazil conceded their first goal of the tournament to JAPAN in the first half and it has to be this match! RAH. I sat down and watched the match proper at 40 min when Japan was still 1-0 up. Then at 45 min, I was ALL READY to tear the ticket away. (Alright, there wasnt really a real ticket to start with, we phone-betted. I was just preparing to hand over the 5 bucks to the brother). There's only 1 min of injury time okie.

THEN THEN THEN.... Despite being behind, though, Brazil maintained their composure and, with the clock ticking into injury-time, they pulled level with a goal engineered by Ronaldinho's vision. The Barcelona man ran at the Japan defence before picking out Cicinho on the right side of the penalty area and his header back across the face of goal was nodded home by Ronaldo. Whoooopeee doooopeee......... I'M STILL ALIVE! So first half ended in a draw. And like what they say, the rest is history cos' THAT.. was the turning point of the whole match.

Brazil went on to win their 3rd match in a row and I'm 22 bucks richer *KACHING KACHING*

Ps: For why the brother is hailed as Lucky Sai No. 1, that will be a different story all together.

Day-off

A day off work was great. Finally managed to catch up with my dearest babe who's all the way in Shanghai. How I missed her )=

Had a great long talk with Win too over the MSN last night and clones are we not? Sometimes, it's great to know that there's someone out there sharing the same thinking/views as you are =)

Caught Germany vs Poland match thereafter with the brother at home and ermm I MISSED THE LAST MIN GOAL cos' I promptly fell asleep on the couch after 50 mins. And I lost my first bet for this WC on this faithful night. Oh well....

Slept in till late noon today and went for a jog ard the estate. And weirdos seem to be all around. As I was cooling down after the jog, looking all sweaty and totally unglam, this young kid came up to me...

Kid: Hey, can my friend have your number?
Me: *catching up with my breathe and thinking how humji his friend is*
Kid: My friend is from Singapore Poly.
Me: Nope.

And I walked away. *TING*
Sheeeshh... do I look like I'm 16 ??! Or is it that boys nowadays have a thing for OLDER woman? First there's the Levis's salesman (which I reckon is ard 20?), then the Kimage guy (who's 19!) and now this SP kid (most prob.. 17).

Ah rah....... where's those OLDER-MATURED-MALE-COUNTERPARTS??

Maybe I should just stay at home and do my beading or read my books. And they will come knocking on my doors. HA.

World Cup 2006

Woot. World Cup 2006 is finally here!!! For the past two days, I've been out watching those matches LIVE at Macdonalds. I can actually watch at home but the atmosphere is totally different. Oh and I must say that it's great watching at Macs because there is

1) Air con

2) No smoking!!
[yea..no more smoky clothes]

3) Surrounding sound system available
[So that you will not miss out on the hilarious comments made by some of the commentators]

4) Comfortable places to sit
[That is if you go early and chop the seats]

5) Food/drinks anytime
[You dont even need to leave ur seats. They will take orders from you and the food will be delivered to you while you watch the match]

How cool is that?

So on Friday, me together with Yogi, Ralf and YWCY* went to Ang Mo Kio Mac to catch the opening match of this year's World Cup. Oh before that, Ralf, Yogi and I aka R-A-Y went to have our dose of KTV!!!! We sang SO SO MANY songs yesterday --> 27 bucks leh....die die oso must sing until they chased us out. But in the end, we left in our own accord because it's abt time to watch the match!

*YWCY aka Yongwei was asked to come out with a shorter nick, preferably 4 letters because it's the IT now. Eg. Aska, Ralf, Yogi, NINI, AHFU. YWCY is shorter than his previous nick of TPWBTMAW but it's still not very ideal cos' we still CANT pronounce it.

At Ang Mo Kio MacDonalds

:: Good food :: Wonderful company :: Exciting match ::

Yogi brought cards and so DA-LAO-ER was the game of the night (while waiting for matches to start). No money was involved but it's fun nevertheless =)
We even caught the 3am match aka Poland vs Ecuador. But eventually, we left at half time cos' it was quite BORING *Yawn*
Our transport-in-charge-Ralf sent us home and Ah Gu reached home ard 430am =P

As for today, caught England vs Paraguay Match at Tampines with Yogi and Bernard. Yea.. England off to their first win! (Though it's a own goal.. Hahahaha...)

Anyway, the gang has decided to pool in some money (10 bucks each) to guess the Winner for this year's World Cup.

Here's the breakdown of who's betting on which country thus far. (Whoever interested can join in!!! The more the merrier!! Hahahaa)

(1) YWCY

(2) Ah Ben

(3) Aska

(4) Bernard

(5) Yogi

(6) Ralf

May the BEST TEAM wins!
[If none of the team wins, the money will be refunded. If N people bets on the same team, the pool of money will be spilt among the N people. (N>1) ]

On another note, I'm glad that my virgin earring is SOLD to Yannie!!!!!!
Thanks babe! =)

Will be posting more of my makings so do check it out!

For each design, there will only be 1-2 pairs so no fear of wearing the same stuff as someone else =)

Melanie Craft

Ahh yes..Just finished reading 2 romance novels. I'm a sucker for trashy books like these. =P
Though I know for the 2948 times how the ending will be like ( happy ending.. DUH), I'll still read them anyway. I love to get tele-transported into their oh-so-sugary-sweet-world every single time.

Back to the books, I have become a quick addict to Melanie Craft's novel. Her Man Trouble was good and got me craving for more! And there's Your Big Break by another author, Johanna Edwards. Love the way she writes. SO-very-funny. Your Big Break's now collecting dust on my desk so if anyone's interested to read it, drop me a msg ya? =)

I dunno if you have read these Redefined Break-up Excuses somewhere else, but they sound amusing to me. My motto as always, GOOD THINGS MUST SHARE! (esp for the girls!)

The Ten Biggest Break-up Excuses, Redefined (From the book-Your Big Break)

Excuse: It's not you, it's me.
Translation: It is definitely, without a doubt, 100% you.

Excuse: We're better off as friends.
Translation: The thought of having sex with you turns my stomach.

Excuse: I think we should date other people.
Translation: I'm already dating other people.

Excuse: I dont deserve you.
Translation: I actually deserve someone much better than you.

Excuse: In another time or place this could've worked out.
Translation: If you were hotter/richer/less boring this could've worked out.

Excuse: I'm still getting to know myself, finding out who I am as a person.
Translation: I'm gay.

Excuse: I used to you think you were The One; now I'm not so sure.
Translation: You weren't this fat when we started dating.

Excuse: I want my space.
Translation: I want to flirt around.

Excuse: This hurts me as much as it hurts you.
Translation: My pain ends after this conversation; your pain lives on forever.

Excuse: I'm getting back together with my ex.
Translation: I no longer even speak to my ex, but I'd rather die alone than spend another second with you.

Anyway, if you have not already know, I'm kind of into beading and making bling bling and SO....I made this pair of earring.

Let me know ur views on it and IF it's sell-able? Any takers? *wink*

I'm alive but not kicking..yet

In case you are wondering if Aska no longer updates this blog of hers, you are wrong.
There is just nothing interesting for me to update abt.

Unless you are interested abt how excited I was abt my FIRST midnight movie or how seeing planes taking off at Changi Airport makes me want to leave for Shanghai or how "lomantic" it was walking bare footed on the beach of East Coast Park with Mr-Prince-turns-Frog-because-of-army. HAHAHAHA......

Sigh.. that's how boring my life is right now.
Bring some colours into it, will you?
