Nini's 22nd

It's the time of the year again...
Our queen of the day finally turns 22!
I asked her what she wants this year. And she said she wants a SURPRISE.
(and maybe that Sony T100 if we manage to rob a bank)

Hmm..our pro at giving surprises wants a surprise.
Seriously, I nearly went to rob a bank.
Hahahahha.

Anyway, we brought her to White Dog Cafe @ Vivo for dinner.
She just need to order. Dont need to pay.
Cos' it's on our boss, Garypal!
YAY! THANKS PAL!

THEN came the highlight of the night.
(Ok actually not really. Hahaha. She's more paiseh than surprised!)

Co-ordinated with the manager to present our queen
with cupcakes from Marmalade Pantry and her presentssss.
The cupcakes are yummy!!!

A collage of her. A giraffe which garypal chose. A giraffe card which was almost empty. Ha.
Two of which I forgot to capture on my cam.
SO NINIONG, must take pics of them ok!!

Anyway, many thanks to her god-brother who kindly contributed her kiddy days photos,
Huihuang for the DH + VJ pics and Swee for Odac + Hall photos.

As well as garypal for driving around Singapore that day to get things done.
He daytona-ed from school to marmalade pantry for the cupcakes to my house for the present to his house to change and finally to vivo.
Not to forget Yogi and Ralf for coming up with different ideas for our little "surprise".

Appreciated

Was kinda in a see-saw mood these few days.
PMS you say.

But was feeling a lot better today after having Botak Jones for dinner.
Guess food just makes me happy.
(And kudos to 800, who's at the receiving end of my pms. Bleah. Thanks Partner!)

Of cos, getting appreciated by friends (some, not all) around me,
which is definitely more effective than having yummilious food.
And the former is priceless.

Gaylord just told me the birthday invite I did for his gf turns out great on
hardcopy. Cant wait to see it!
And I was glad to be of some help to TH's online fashion webbie.

Once in a while, it's good to be reminded that I'm not THAT totally useless.
Guess it's just the chem-eng-effect.

So school's kicked in.
And there's lab every other day.
Which is good in a way because school food's cheap so tonnes of money saved!

Into the Art's Lerk Thai recently, that's cheap and goooddd. Heh.

Coincidentally, Fang suggested going to Renn Thai @ Clark Quay for her payday treat.
The food at Renn Thai's damn good!
Pineapple rice.Tom yum Seafood soup. Satay.Mussels.BBQ Cuttlefish.Prawn.Sweet & Sour fish.
That... cost her a BOMB =P

Went to have our second round of drinks @ Highlander, which was filled with tonnes of angmos.
Wild blue berry crumple. Baileys Irish Cream.Martinis. Liveband.3 doors down.

I think they loved it cos' they can totally relate to it.
Reminds me of the good ol' days where I tagged along my mum to watch the Getais.

This is my FIRST time carrying a less-than-1-day-old baby.
STRESS! Hahaha..

希望她快高长大，聪明伶俐！

One more week

One more week till the commencement of aku's final year in NU of S.
So I better eat like no tomorrow cos' life's going to be a bitch in the upcoming months.

Urpssssssss.

Met up with the Babas for yet another pig-out session.
Alex brought us to this authentic Japanese Raman Restaurant aka Baikohken near
UOB Building/Raffles Place.
(Made me think of hP's Okasan. Hahahaha)

And Haagen Dazs's Chocolate Fondue is love.
I think I can eat it everyday!!!!! =P

Had lunch with the class peeps @ VIVO after some safety talk in school.
That's our lunch (@ HK Kim Gary) and dinner (@ Fin) .
Lunch was madness. 3 toasts, 6 baked rice and 6 sticks of mini hotdogs.

We had it light for dinner with JUST a seafood platter, some fried squids,
a tiramisu , apple crumple with ice cream and a hot chocolate fondue cake.

A very full stomach was followed by the CRAPPIEST show of the year.

Knocked up is totally under-rated.
It was given a rating of M18, but I swear it's of a R21 content.
Our IC were checked not ONCE, but twice for this show.
Win already lo.

Anyway on a totally different note, look what's in town!!
Nike S'pore finally decides to bring in Man Utd's 07/08 Jersey in ladies' size!
SWEEET!

a Japanese restaurant at Marina Sqaure.
I thought the food and dessert were pretty good.
Maybe the fact that I'm not the one footing the bill plays a part too. Heh

Return of the Fantastic 4

TGIF.
Was really shagged for the past few days.
Seriously, waking up around 7am EACH DAY is NO JOKE.
But thank god I'm working with a bunch of entertainers in the lab.
Especially my everyday-cook-and-eat-tea-leave-egg partner, 800.

A short abstract of our daily convo:

800: "Are you like always so sot sot one??"
Me: "People who dont know me think that I'm quite dao leh."
800: "Eh I go ask my classmates if they know you or not.."
800: "Wahlau if they say u chio, I straight away start FLIPPING on the floor"

800: "Why cannot?? You scare earthquake ar??"

Me and my FYP partner aka 800 are trying to go back to our lab
as often as possible. To, you know, keep up with the FYP hype.

And here's some stuff we did to kill the waiting time.

Met up with the class peeps after lab to redeem our pizza from California Pizza Kitchen
Yummy food except maybe the Hawaiian (cos' I chose it. BOO)
The chocolate banana royale cake is love. Heh.

Anyway, a certain someone, who goes by the name of Brad Pitt aka 3818 joined us for dinner.
Apparently,Brad got reprimanded by another certain someone through MASS EMAIL (to the whole world) for playing lottery game during a bidding round.

But our Braddy boy is certainly proud of it.
