Beyond Words

Beyond Words, originally uploaded by askayoyo.

Love how the 50mm 1.4G managed to capture B's expression.
Doggies are love!

Still in the mist of sorting out the rest of the pictures.
Can't wait :)

Cuteness overloaded.
In the mist of editing them all.
Maska is working hard, so is Aska.

Mee Sua is love

For the past week when I was down with the infamous stomach flu, my mum made me ate fish porridge , which is something that I dont really fancy.

So she cooked me this when my stomach got better.
Mee Sua with ABALONE!
Along with other ingredients which I dont know their name la.
But very yummy.
I can eat that for a week man!

Photobucket

Another view of the 爱心 Mee Sua.
I took like 20 shots of this before getting down to eat it proper! Ha!

Photobucket

Yay. Off to watch my SCV drama with another bowl of Mee Sua.
:))

Resolution 2010

So Year 2009 is coming to an end.
It's scary how time really flies this year.
I wouldn't said that it was a bad year, cos' looking back,
I realised what doesn't kill you will indeed make you stronger.

3rd quarter was probably a nightmare, which I am so, so glad that it's over now.
Thanks to those who kept the faith in me.
Family and pals who's there to give their fullest support, who doesn't judge on the incoherent decisions which I have made.
I guess I really made some of them really worried.
Like I said, thank you is never enough.
But I'll still broadcast my gratitude to my dearest sister.

For lending me her ears to my nonsense despite facing her own problems.
For allowing me to invade into her home when I felt really lost.
For trying her best to help in every situation, after I made a mess out of it.
For assuring me that things will eventually be alright and everything happens for a reason.

Not sure if she will see this since she's super busy with her year end budgeting.
Thank you, Ter lin!
Big  to you!!

:))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I looked back at some of the resolutions I made for 2009.
Glad that I've met 90% of it.
Probably the only regret is not getting out of the country for some fresh air, which I hope I did.
Hence, here's the resolution for 2010:

1) To Hong Kong/Australia/Japan I MUST!
2) To make myself useful @ work, wherever I'll be :)
3) To complete a 42k @ sub 6. (Now, that's a huge challenge!)
4) To brush up on my photography skills, now that I've finally gotta the equipment. Heh.

And most importantly, not to take my family or friends for granted and stay true to myself.
:)

Am so looking forward to my favourite season of the year.
Cant wait to meet up with my pals from all over and I certainly hope that they will like the presents I've gotten for them. Teehee,

10 more days to Christmas!

♥♥

PS: Hope the stomach flu bug goes away ASAP.

Bro's Birthday

Had dinner at Crystal Jade Korean BBQ in view of Bro's BIG 31st birthday.
I brought my Naska along, of cos'.
To make full use of the 35mm, which Mojo has kindly lent it to me while he's away.

Photobucket

Made our way to the newly opened 313 @ Somerset to get his present thereafter.
I like the place cos' it's way much better than Orchard Central.
And easily navigated, as compared to ION @ Orchard.

Photobucket
Ahh now I cant decide between a 35mm/1.8 or 50mm/1.4.
Dear Santa, can I have them both?
:P

Etch BBQ

Fab shut down saw us gathered at Slim's house to have our own AFTERNOON BBQ.
I love afternoon BBQ, cos' the natural light is great for food photography.
Ha, you should know that I'm just BS-ing if you know photography. Bleah.

Anyway love the bacon and cheese hotdogs.
Both the look and taste of it.
Ahhh I'm so hungry looking at it now.
Did I mention that I'm supposed to eat only porridge and porridge for the next couple of days
in order not to further agitate my stomach? Gah.

Anyway took 29838 of pictures and they can be found at FB.
Just a few of my personal favourites below.

Things always happen for a reason.
And changes are inevitable.
Which is why I have this space to constantly remind myself to count my blessings.
Of the people I meet, and the things that happened to me.
Sometimes, thank you is never enough..
And you know it too.

Catching Up

Went Vivo the other day for a catch up with my favourite buddy Lee and attempted to take the children's at play near the water fountain.
But realised I did not bring my zoom lens.
So I only have the food photos to share.
Now, everything makes me hungry!
:(

I really hope the LS stops before I start celebrating Christmas in 4 days' time!

SCSM 2009

This is a bit back dated, but because I'm down with a stomach flu and granted a 2 days rest
by my doctor dearest, I finally have the time to do some blogging.
:)

And perhaps it's time to showcase what my Naska is capable of producing.
(Only the singlet is taken with the D90, the rest is still from my trusty IXUS)

Photobucket

Met Captain Hoooooo and Healthy Tan at the run.
I'm going to turn into a Healthy Ter soon!
Woohooo.

Photobucket
Haha found myself my camwhore buddies.
Proud finishers of the 21.1km.
:))

Rest of the pictures of Mojo and pals.

Photobucket

Great run, pals.
:)
Till 2010, talk to my hand.
Says Wilson.

In love with Mac

I'm so proud of myself that I managed to get my hands on both Adobe CS4 and Microsoft Office for Mac. And now they are happily sitting on my dock, waiting for me to unleash them.

Did I mention that I had a super cutie Domokun resting on my dock as well?

Ahh Heavenly.

Was talking to Mojo on MSN, much to his displeasure of me raving on Mac.
I thought his comment was really funny though!

Me: eh btw, how come cs4 cant edit the raw pics from D90 straight??
Me : kuku leh or i choose the wrong format
Mojo : need a certain update i think
Mojo : i dun use raw cos my current laptop will puke bytes and die
Me : hahhahhhahahahahahahahhahahahaha
Me : tt's so funny!!

So after the software update, I'm finally able to edit the pictures in Raw.
I'm awed.

:)

New Babies

And here's the new additions to my family.
Whee.

Has been ploughing through the menu, as well as taking some shots with one of my favourite lens.
And I'm loving it.

To add icing to the cake, here's baby no. 2.
I was thinking of calling it, Maska? You know like Aska, with a M.
And D90 should be called Naska.
Oh well, just some random thoughts while I was doing my run. :P

Currently, I'm still not able to get my hands on Photoshop CS4 for Mac.
So no photos of the weekends to share here.
If you are interested, click here.

I'm still recovering from a BAD back ache, an aftermath of SCSM 2009.
I hope it will go away by tmr.

Anyhow, Fab shut down is good! Woohoo.

Birthday weekend!

I love celebrating birthday for my pals, because that means I've a valid excuse to indulge in
good food.
:)

Brought my dearest mate (who's there when I was at the bottom of the hole) to this vintage place which
we both loved, down to the T.
Check out the in-house deco coupled with the great ambiance.

Photobucket

And the food was great.
We both had lobster and ooo I'm missing it already!

Photobucket

Made our way down to KPO, and was really lucky to get seats on a Saturday night.
There was a gallery of sport cars, parked side by side outside the pub.
And to think that the cheapest was actually a BMW Z4?

Nevertheless, a nice chill out place to be at.
:)

Photobucket

And I'm looking forward to this weekend cos' it's going to be a long long break next week.
Plus, there are new additions to the Family.
Like finally!
:))
